Training

The normal training period for Healers is two years. During the two years the student will only be permitted to practice healing under the direct supervision of an accredited Healer Tutor (Lead Healer), unless the W. S. H. committee of the association decide otherwise.

A two stage period of training will be permitted. During the first stage, the student will practice only under the direct supervision of an accredited Healer Tutor (Lead Healer). During the second stage, the student will be allowed to practice alone but with an accredited Healer Tutor(Lead Healer) within the room that the healing is taking place. This will permit Students to take part in demonstrations and to work at exhibitions, as well as to work on their own in a clinic situation subject to there being an accredited Healer Tutor (Lead Healer) within the same room that the healing is taking place, obviously, students will not advertise their services.

Qualified Healers from other associations can, with the production of that associations certificate of qualification, join the W. S. H. Association as a probationary healer. They will have to work under supervision of the accredited Healer Tutor (Lead Healer) for one year after which they can become Full Healers of the W. S. H. Association.

Background:
In the Government response to the House of Lords Select committee on Science and Technology’s report on Complementary and Alternative Medicine 2001, it was recommended by the Government that Complementary Therapies organisations should develop Voluntary systems of Self-Regulation and should consequently agree a set of standards to regulate each profession. The Report separates this complex range of disciplines into three groups. Healing is within Group 2 which consist of those therapies 'that most clearly complement conventional medicine'.
Why we set Standards:
We need to make sure the standards are consistent and understand that the Public may not trust those standards without independent assurance. To provide minimum standards for the Voluntary Self-Regulation of Healers by defining the standards by which their knowledge base, practice and professional and ethical accountability can be measured.

The public needs to be assured that standards are being maintained.

Healing Courses
We offer a Comprehensive Accredited Professional Training Course for those who wish to become Healing Channels. This can be achieved by completing a Minimum two-year Course.

The Course is based on and in some cases exceed the requirements of the Current National Occupational Standards (NOS).
Also, each Student is bound by a Compulsory Code of Conduct and Ethics.

This means that on successful completion of the Accredited Course and a Final Assessment, you can Practice as a Healing channel in a wide variety of settings (including the NHS).

The Training Course enables the Student to explore and understand the full range of the Holistic Principles and Practice of Healing under the guidance of our well-established Professional Healer Tutors. It also serves to support the personal Spiritual growth of the Student, who is developing as a Channel for the Healing Energies.

Continuing Professional Development:
We provide CPD Workshops and Structured Training Provisions to enable future development of Healers Careers and/or Abilities.
